I'm searching for information on the ancestors of James Sudduth, b: 1803 or 1810 in GA. He lived in Russell Co. AL for a time, and appears in the 1840 census there. He then returned to Pike Co GA in time for the 1850 census, then migrated to Randolph Co., AL. His father was born in VA, and is mother in either NC or SC. His family included his wife, Mary (Amerson?), sons William, Jonathan, Elijah, Eli, James A., Elbert and Daniel. Daughters were Mary A., Eliza and Jane. I suspect that he had a brother named Elbert, born in 1812 in GA. James died sometime after 1880, probably in Randolph Co, near Roanoke, AL.
