Hi Linda --
Thanks for going back and looking through the postings. I didn't realize it has been 3 years since I posted my inquiry!
It would be great if you could look through your copy of Hardin County for anything on the SULCER family (also spelled Sultzer/Setzer/Setser/Selser) and especially Cinderella's father.
Since the initial posting, I have received some information from Jim Sulcer who has done extensive research on his family line. I believe Cinderella's father to be a WILLIAM SULCER who was born in 1756 in Shanendoah Co., VA and later lived in Hardin Cnty, KY, Knox Cnty and Daviees Cnty, IN and died in 1836 in Greene Co., IN. Cinderella's mother was Jane Johnston.
Although Sulcer family researchers were not aware of Cinderella, information I have uncovered would make her 99% likely to be one of William and Jane's offspring. There were at least 9 other siblings: Henry, Abraham, Polly, Cynthia, William Jr., and John and 1 male and 2 female siblings still unaccounted for.
Information on known siblings includes:
HENRY SULCER, b. 1794 in Wythe, VA m. (1) 1819 Ruthy Harris in KY; (2) 1825 Katherine VanHorn, Butler Cnty, OH
ABRAHAM SULCER (Sutzer) b. 1799 VA; m. Rachel Hoover 1826 in Hardin, d. 1866 Hardin, Ky
POLLY SULCER b. 1796 m. 1821 Seth Anderson, Hardin, Ky
CYNTHIA SULCER b. 1801 VA, m. Abraham Pullen 1818 in Hardin, d. after 1880, Missouri
JOHN SULCER b. bt. 1811
I believe a MARY SULCER b. abt. 1817 who married a Sweeney to also be one of Cinderella's siblings but haven't found any real documentation as yet to support it.
If you come across information on any of Cinderella's family or siblings, I would very much appreciate hearing from you.
Thank you so much for replying to my posting.
