Since your William was from Warren County, Ky, he could only descend from the William, son of Henry Sulser, b. 1812, S. C. died ca 1863 in Warren or Ohio County, Ky. Henry was the son of John Sulser, b. 1785, S. C. died 1840 in Bowling Green, Ky and Winey Rackley, b. ca 1794, S. C. My ancestor was James Madison Sulser, son of Henry. James Madison Sulser's daughter, Adelia Frances Sulser married Alonzo Oler Spivey in Jefferson County, Texas. They raised their family in Sour Lake, Hardin County, Texas.

I have had no luck tracing back from John Sulser. I know they were originally from Germany as James Madison Sulser spoke German fluently. The name is associated as being Jewish. If they were, they were non praticing Jews. My grandmother became a Christian and a Baptist.
