Surnames: Schmitt,Bell,Balla,Klebe,Sadler,White,Taylor,Heim,Benson,Reynolds,Sultan/Soltan/Suldan
Hi - my name is Laura and I am trying to find the correct spelling for my great,great,great grandparents on my father's side. Here is what I how found out so far and any further assistance/information would be very helpful. Thanks
Adam (dob 1814) & Margaret (dob 1824) Sultan/Soltan/Suldan came to the US from Hesse Castle in 1847. They lived in Baltimore (South) and had several children. Their daughter Katrina (dob 1855) married Charles Heim (dob 1842, son of Albert & Eliza Heim).
Katrina & Charles had several children - their daughter Lillian married Charles T Balla. Lillian & Charles's daughter Iona married James Schmitt (my grandparents) --and had my dad Charles Schmitt. The whole family is mainly from Baltimore (South Baltimore mostly).
