My grandmother was named Mary Kuzo. She married Jacob Sum. Mary was born in 1889 in Poland. She came to the United States - not sure if she was married or if she married here. Had 5 children here - Helen, Ann, John, Joseph, Walter. She died in 1987, in Hammond,Indiana. Jacob died in 1932 or around that time. All of her children are deceased.

I know nothing infortunatly about your great oncle but my name is also SUM, I am living in FRANCE and my family origin's is from POLAND, you are speaking about Amsterdan and I know that some people from POLAND are arrived in holland, and I know also THAT some persons of my family has going to USA.

Franziska Späth, wife of Jakob Reinfarth lived in Cincinnati, Ohio after coming to America 1852. Haven't found them anywhere and still looking.

The only infomation I have on Anton Reinfarth is that he married Christiana Sophia Oberst. Christiana was from Unterowisheim, Karisruhe, Baden. However, I believe that they must have met in NYC because that is where they married. Reinfarth is quite an elusive name, and I don't know of Anton's ancestry, any siblings, etc. Did your Reinfarth settle in NYC?

Christiana Oberst Reinfarth married Hermann Sum. This was her second marriage. They did not have any children. Hermann Sum worked in a brewery in NCY in the early 1900's. His father was Theisidor Sum. Both from Baden Germany. Any information appreciated.

I am a descendant of Jacob Sum born in 1812 at Bad Rippoldsau, Baden, Germany. My descent is Jacob --> Mathias b. 1849 --> Henry b. 1897 --> Patricia b. 1927 --> Me b. 1949. Correction: I am a descendant of Johan Georg Sum who immigrated from Bad Rippoldsau to Ferdinand, IN about 1853 followed by his children and step-daughter about 1857. Sorry for any confusion my first reply may have caused.

My grandfather was Michael Kuzo of Nesquehoning PA . He came here from the Ukrain in the 1930's . She mother gave birth to him on the way over . I can't remember his fathers name but his mothers name was Annastastia . They had 4 sons Michael , Joe , Nick , and John . I no Kuzo was shorten from something but I don't know what .
