Looking for any info on Daniel Summers, born 1808 in Virginia, married to Rachel.
They had a daughter Mary, who later became the wife of Bartley Crawford (they were my 3rd-great-grandparents). According to the 1870 census Daniel and Rachel had a 13-year-old son James.
I'd love info on Daniel and Rachel--there are rumors that maybe Rachel might be of Cherokee descent.
