Birth place of John Sunderland

Surnames: Sunderland
In searching other trees, John shows as born in 1618 in Boston, Mass. However, this does not seem possible: Boston was not founded until 1630 and Plymouth Colony was only founded in 1620. He died on 26 Dec 1703 in Mass and his spouse was Dorothy Armstrong. Any documentation on Birth Place?
