Sara:

Thanks so much for answering. I'm afraid that your Ada is not a part of my immediate family. My gr.gr. grandfather changed his name from Anders Persson to Andrew Sundquist when he emigrated to Duluth in 1880, and there are only two of his children unaccounted for now. Ida, born 1880 and Victor Emmet born 1891. Here's the url at Rootsweb for this "Sundquist" family.

http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&...

Uncles Charley and Anders "Gus" were confirmed bachelors! Oscar's death ctf. did not show a marriage. Ida is the only one I cannot find. Victor's life is a mystery after WW1. So unless you can tie into Victor, I'm afraid I'm a dead end for you.

Thank you and good luck in your search. Please feel free to email me.

Have been researching my mother's Sundquist family from Duluth, MN. (immigrated in 1880 from Sweden). Have found some aunts and uncles that no one alive knew about. We know nothing about where they came from, whether or not they changed their names when immigrating, or what other relatives also immigrated. I do have pictures that I feel are of the Sundquists, but cannot name them. If you have any information or need my information, please email me at timespastantiques@prodigy.net.. Thank you.

My great grandfather Viktor Sundquist immigrated with his family in the 1890's after his father was converted to Mormonism. He settled in Utah, met and married another Swedish child of converts, Freda Carlson (originally Karlsson), whose father became a successful rancher. They had a farm at West Point, Utah. Viktor died in around 1924, leaving Daughters Gladys, Evelyn, and Mable and a son James, the youngest. Evelyn is in her nineties, still living in the San Francisco area. James, my father, lives near Washington, DC.
