although we must all have had some type of relationship , I am searching the black side of the surratt/surrett family first . Most of the ones I know in my family came from around Gaston NC, ?SC, Norfolk, VA, Washington,DC, and ?NJ. My ggf was Prather/Plater Surratt/surrett married to Margaret/Maggie Davis ; gf was Richard D Surratt/Surrett married to Elizabeth Watson and my father was Carl O'neal Surratt/Surrett. I would really like some help filling in the blanks. Thanks for all the help I am 60+ so would really like quick responses to any info.

I am Jessica's fist cousin in Minnesota, my maiden name being Surrett also. In our grandma's bible it is written that our ggrandfather was jeffery(jefferson?) Surrett maried to Desse Hill. My father didn't meet his dad until he was 21yr. old, and I'm very curious about my roots as I have a 3 yr. old now.

Samuel Franklin Surrett and Isabelle Justus

This is in regards to Samuel Franklin Surrett and Isabell Justus. They were married and had at least 2 sons. One was named Raymond. Raymond married a lady named Evelyn and had 2 or more children. The other son was named Alexander Robert Surrett.

Alex changed his name to Robert Alexander Taylor. Later, he married Alta Harkins and had 5 children. One of those children was named after his brother, Raymond. Raymond Taylor would later become the father of my husband, Karl Taylor.

I'm new to this, so if I don't make sense, please forgive me. I am researching my family tree. Mygrandfather, Peter Surrette was born in Yarmouth,Nova scotia in 1894. I believe his siblings were a Reverend Louis Surrette (a resident of Ipswitch Mass?), a Murray Surrette (a resident of Beverly Farms, Mass?) and a William Surrette (a resident of Boston, Mass?) and a sister Miss Agnes Surrette (also believed to have been a resident of Ipswitch, Mass) His parents (my greatgrandparents) were Joseph Surrette and Mary White, believed to have been born in Nova Scotia as well. At least we have reson to believe Joseph was born in Nova Scotia. Any help will be appreciated and most welcomed. Thanks everyone.

Roy E.O'Connell.Her father's(which would be my ggrandfather)

Looking for any information regarding C.A.S. Surrett who married Cynthia Ezzell in Alabama, 1882. His father was Cicero Surrett, of Georgia. His mother was Sarah Jane Clay. Parents married in Georgia 1854. C.A.S. died in Texas in 1901.
