I'm not a susoeff, however i am trying to get in touch with one :-) I'm an old friend of jaime susoeff and I am interested in contacting her. it's been several years since we've spoken, but I think she is around age 25-27. If anyone knows how to reach her you shouldn't tell me cuz that would be kind of unsafe if you gave out that info to someone you don't know...lol. But it would be nice if any of you guys could tell her to log onto here and view this message.......my e-mail is s.grande24@yahoo.com My name is Steve, and I used to live in south carolina when Jaime and I spoke often. cheers!

Hi John - This is an old message and hoping you are still out there. I believe you are the John Susoeff, son of John J. and Olympia. I was searching for a marriage record for your parents that might have been posted by Nancy Posey but came across your message instead. Our mothers played Yatzee on Wedneday afternoons. I am Nadia's daughter Paula. I am hoping you are still active on this board. I wanted the date of your parents marriage and some info on your Uncle Pete and Marion for my family tree. thanks, Paula Mackshanoff Hobbick

Hi.......I'm of Russian Molokan descent. I saw your post as I get automatic emails when someone responds to this board.

There is a Russian Molokan message board at http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=an&p=t...

It is an active board and you may find some information or have someone give you more information.

I don't have an Agafia Patpoff in my database. Do you know her maiden name and father's name? What is the name of your grandfather and his parents?

With more information I can help you with your inquiry.

Sincerely,

Nancy Poppin Posey
heisable2@comcast.net

No Stephanie, I don't think I'm related to the Tolmasoff's you mentioned. Many of my relations (by marriage) are in Oregon.

Do you think your Aunt Manya might want to correspond with me through e-mail? It's been a long time since I've even seen her (maybe 30 years) and even then it was at a funeral.

If she's interested, give her my e-mail address.

Keep me posted as to how your mother is doing.

Dorothy Kobzeff Tolmasoff

Stephanie,

The only Tolmasoff I know who has a wife named Vera had a nickname of "Tamol". "Tamol" had an older brother named Basil who's wife's name was Marian. If this is the right Tolmasoff, I knew Vera slightly. It's sad to hear about all these people I knew (I've lost touch. I live in Santa Rosa, CA).

Thank you Stephanie

Dorothy Kobzeff Tolmasoff

Dear Dorothy:

Nice to hear from you.

Yes, I know what my Auntie Manya is up to! She and her daughter Cindy are living in Alhambra, CA.

Auntie Manya is ill with Crest Disease. A disease of the lungs, I believe.

We correspond by email and phone. She is still full of fire and a wonderful source of joy to me and my daughter.

My mom, Rae Susoeff has Dementia and liver cancer. She is still going on -but would like to go home to Jesus. Until recently, she was quite lively and full of life.

Are you related to Al Tolmasoff? Vera Tolmasoff (his wife) is also suffering from Alzheimers and is in a home in Costa Mesa. My daughter and I visit her when we are down there.

Take care!
Stephanie Susoeff Swan

There are Jarkiehs, Loskutoffs, and Slepnikoffs in our family. Most still live in SF or the Bay Area.
Hi Zena...I'm 57, born in San Francisco. My grandparents, John Fred and Hazel Nick Seminoff Poppin lived on Rhode Island Str. His brother was William Fred Popin and Elmer Fred Poppin. I have cousins who live on the hill. There is Jim Popin, (I think lives on Wisconsin), Anne Pappin Loskutoff and her husband Bill, June Popin Popoff (died last year), Paula Pavloff Kovacs, Anna Papin Shubin (Arkansas), and have lots of Susoeff and Loskutoff cousins too. Priscilla Popin Benassini. I don't you in my file, but that isn't to say you can't be. <smile>

I noticed from the 2004 Molokan Directory your mother Nadia Vasiliy Baholdin lives on Wisconsin. An older directory shows your father as Pete Pete Susoev (spelled Susov).

Let's compare notes and see where we link up in the Susoeff family. My father is the last of the 1st generation Poppin's. He and I completed his autobiography. It's quite large. A copy is at the Molokan Church in San Francisco and one copy at the Molokan library in Los Angeles.

I'll search for the query from your nephew.

My email is heisable2@comcast.net.

Hi Darlene, I would be most interested in getting more information about your family. My family surname is POPPIN. My grandparents lived at 879 Rhode Island Street. Our family is related to many of the Susoeff's, Loskutoff's, etc. etc. My father remembers many of the families who lived on The Hill. He's 86 and the last of the 1st generation Poppin's in his family. Please email me back........I'm at heisable2@comcast.net. You will also see my name on the Molokan message board. I post alot of the Bay Area obituaries for our Molokan ancestors. In addition, I'm trying to identify the families the best I can. I've transcribed the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census in CA and other states where they resided.

I show your uncle Jim Susoeff with parents of Michael James Susoeff and Anna E. Loskutoff = Gussie, James, Jack

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Nancy Poppin Posey

Sadly, Nadia Vasilievna Baholdin Susoev is in the hospital as I write this. I'm glad I got her story and the family tree some years ago. Will post when I can.
