This is the most current list of ancestors' surnames, which I am researching in the old province of Suwalskie. They are found in the parishes of Filpowo, Bakalarzewo, Jeleniewo, Przerosl, Suwalki and Wizajny. Some of them are 3rd, 4th and 5th grandparents' surnames. The earliest year one was born is about 1733 (Marianna Waskiewicz / Waszkiewicz). Several of these are in the 1700's, based on ages given in marriage and death records.
