I am trying to find some information on a Matilda Swain, originaly from Ireland but moved to Newfoundland. She worked as a servant for another Irish family, McLachlan. She had a child, outside of marriage to a John or James Patrick McLachlan. The baby was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1908. Can anyone help?
