Muscatine - Nathan Ryan Swanson, 15, of Muscatine, died Thursday at his home. Funeral Services will be at the Geo M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, Muscatine. The Rev. Dan Robbs, Rev. Kevin Jennings and Rev. Bryce Bates will officiate. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Swanson was born to parents Alan and Laurie Swanson Nov. 11, 1984 in Muscatine. He was baptized in the Edgington, Ill. United Presbyterian Church. He was a freshman at Muscatine High School. He enjoyed his beloved dog, Annie, visiting his grandparents, watching television and working on the computer. He is survived by his parents; a brother Matthew; maternal grandparents Chester and Bertha Swanson of Muscatine; paternal grandparents Vester and Marlene Garrison of Muscatine; aunts and uncles Jerry and Joyce Garrison of New Braunfels, Texas, Judy and Keith Greenhaw of Muscatine, Barbara and Eldon Mohr of Washington, Lyn and Daniel Rickey of Grandview and Timothy Swanson of Muscatine; and ten cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Mary Garrison.
