Just in case anyone's reading this who isn't aware of the fact that these three names are all part of Gerrett Van Swearingen's line, let me share the following with you.
Gerrett Van Swearingen, b. 1636 in Beemsterdam, Holland, was originally named "VON" Swearingen, but changed the name to "VAN". His son, Thomas, later anglicized it by dropping the "Van" altogether, thus beginning the "Swearingen" use.
I have recently found information to indicate that Gerrett was descended from a David Janse Swieringh and am attempting to find more information on this connection.
Somewhere along the line in David Swieringh's pedigree, there is a Prince of Orange.
Anybody have anything on this connection?
David was born ca.1582 and died ca.1612 and was married to a Hester Jacobs whose dates are estimated to be 1639-1697.
Thanks . . .
