Mrs. Justina Sy

Mrs. Justina Sy, mother of Supervisor August F. Sy, died at her home on the SY road, Bergholtz, last night after a lingering illness. Mrs. Sy was born seventy-seven years ago aboard a boat on which her parents had taken passage in the harbor at Hamburg, Germany, for the United States. She had resided in the twon of Wheatfield the greater part of her life. Mrs. Sy was the widow of Daniel Sy, whose death took place a year ago. Surviving are one son, Supervisor Sy; three daughters, Mrs. August F. Miller of Bergholtz, and Mrs. Bertha Williams and Mrs. Henry Urtel, both of LaSalle; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the late home and half an hour later Holy Ghost church in Bergholtz. Rev. Alvin Stark officiating. Burial will be the Holy Ghost cemetery.
