I'm looking for info on my original family name 'Syllwasschy'. Does anybody know its meaning or origin (from which country it originates)???

My ancestor lived in Dresden in c1888. He was a mercinary/surgeon/medical supplier in the Austro-Hungarian Navy at this time.

He married May Stanbrough (Anglo-Irish British) c1888. Had son, my g-grandfather.

He died c1890-93 or c1912 (I'm not sure which period) on Austrian Naval ship, which sank off Treste Port, Italy.

Does anybody have any info on this name?

Thanks,
