I have just received the marriage record for my ggrandparents, Arthur SYLVAIN and Margaret STUART married 6 Feb. 1889 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Arthur's birthplace is listed as Quebec, and his parents are listed as George SYLVAIN and Luce FOURNIER. He was age 40 at the time. Margaret's birthplace is Iceland and her parents are John STUART and Margaret (unreadable - possibly SORENSEN). She was 21. They were married at St. Mary's Church by Father Ouelette. He was Catholic, she was Protestant.
His occupation listed was hotel keeper. I would appreciate any information anyone else has to offer. Thanks.
