Hi, My mother was a Synan before she married my father. I have been lead to believe and have visited Synan family in Doonbeg Co Clare Ireland. Are you by any way related to the Australian branch of the Synan family. If so can you please contact me on my email therese.kerr@hotmail .com . I have reason to believe that my great grandfather was named Michael Synan, although renaming children after ourselves makes it bloody hard to do family trees. Ido hope that you can assist us with our search and we can also add some value to your own search. thanks

Hi,I go to the Buffalo library as a genealogy volunteer once a month. I was just there Monday and had a very slow day, no questions from anyone. I was looking for things to do to while away my four hour shift. I go back June 15th, unless I make a special trip beforehand. In the meantime please give me all the information you can on your grandmother in Buffalo. When did she get here, when did she re-marry, at what church, date, when/where did she die, where buried, Buffalo address, etc. Any other data that may be helpful. I'll see what I can do.
There is no rush. I'll be out of town all of next week. Topm O'Hare.

I also have a history of the Synan Family printed in Ireland in 1909 by a Walter A. Jones of Doneraile. The UK records don't give me much help but I think they were of Irish descent being Catholics and with a wife called Mary Kelly it looks pretty certain.

Have you traced anyone coming from Ireland to London called Sinan?

Regards

Philip
