Hi there. Just did a search on Sythes and came up with this corrospondance. I was unaware there so many of us. My family and I are the only Sythes in the Southern Hemisphere that I am aware of. My grandfather is (was) John (Jack) Sythes born in Ireland - not sure if he is a relative of the Sythes mentioned in the original corrospondance.
