Walter Szumilas, 66, of Spring Valley died Thursday. He was born in Poland.
Survivors include his wife, Christina Szumilas of Spring Valley; mother, Janina Costello of Spring Valley; brothers, Henry and Stanley Szumilas of Spring Valley and Thadeus Szumilas of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a rosary at 6 p.m., Conrad Lemon Grove Mortuary, 7387 Broadway, Lemon Grove.
Mass: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 8086 Broadway, Lemon Grove.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, San Diego.
