His wife was Amanza Brunnemer born 1817 VA and she died 1892 marion co. Indiana.
I am wondering if perhaps one or more of these people listed might be a relation of one George Lewis Tackitt b.Apr 1835 in Virginia and d. Nov 1920 in Camargo, IL. He was the husband of one Sarah Jane Brunnemer b. Apr 1836 in Morgan Co., Indiana and was married to George in the same county in 1855.
She was the daughter of Anthony Brunnemer (1811-1893).

I am wondering if Isaac Sr might not be a close relative of George's.

Phillip I went to the site yea, the photo if of a cemetery is located in the old part of Cottonwood. I don't know if you did the write up or not, but if so Emberson was somewhat older, how much I have no idea though, but he keep records of those involved in the massacre and who and how he took revenge on them, William was approx 19 months and 4 years old again the actual age I have no idea, they had 2 additional sibling again no additional info is known, however there was note in a diary Emberson had kept of an older brother.
Mary

I am related to Emberson's wife, Mary Malinda Snow, 1st cousin 3 times (generations) removed. The reason I was looking for William's burial location was to put a Mountain Meadows Massacre memorial plaque at his tombstone. You may have seen the one at Emberson's gravesite. What is the name of the cemetery, where Emberson is buried? Can you send me a picture of the tombstone?
Regards,
Phillip

The Certificate of Death for Joe C. Adkins (1864 - 1945) names his parents as Lige Adkins and Katie Tackett. Joe died in Harlan Co., KY but was originally from Campbell Co., TN. I THINK Joe was a brother of my great grandfather, William M. Adkins (b. bet. 1867 - 1871). Is anyone familiar with this family so that I can either confirm or disprove my theory? I have been struggling with William's parentage for a LONG time so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lewis TACKETT (1765-1839) VA > Floyd Co. KY

I am searching for the will of Lewis TACKETT, born 1765 in either Amherst County, or Cedar Run, Stafford County, Virginia, died 1839 in Morgan County, Kentucky. On 14 Nov 1789 in Charlotte County, Virginia, Lewis married Susannah SUMPTER, daughter of Edmund SUMPTER, born ca 1769 in Charlotte County, Virginia, died after 1830 in Johnson County, Kentucky. If anyone has knowledge of this will, please email me at <vmk@kmklein.com>

Children of Lewis and Susannah (SUMPTER) TACKETT:
George W. b. ca 1789 Virginia
Lewis b. ca 1790
Alsey Ellendar b. 1797 Lee Co. Virginia
John b. ca 1800 Kentucky
Catherine b. ca 1801or 1813
Mary Ann "Polly" b. ca 1805
Elizabeth b. ca 1808
Rachel b. ca 1813 Floyd Co. Kentucky

Lewis moved his family from Charlotte County, Virginia to Lee County, Virginia, and then to Floyd County, Kentucky, which part became Johnson County, Kentucky. Lewis is believed to have died in Morgan County, Kentucky.

I am exploring the theory that Lewis' son, George W. TACKETT may be the same George W. TACKETT, b. ca 1787 who lived in Lawrence County, Ohio, and then in Washington County, Indiana. Lewis' will may help in proving if that is a true theory or not.

Looking for the burial location of William Henry Tackitt who lived in Protem, Taney Co., MO. He and his older brother were two of the 17 survivors of the Mountain Meadows Massacre in UT, 9/11/1857. They were returned to AR in 1859 and raised by their maternal grandparents Miller in Carroll Co., AR. I have William last listed in the 1880 Taney Co., MO (Big Creek) census, but have been told that he remained there the rest of his life and is buried there.
His older brother, Emberson Milum Tackitt, went to AZ by 1880 to be a deputy sheriff and is buried in Prescott.
