I am seeking information on my great grandfather, William E. Taft. He was born in 1850 in Mississippi. His wife's name was Susan. In the 1880/90 he was in Madison County, Texas. Probably living in Midway at that time because my grandmother, Ida Lena Taft, was born in that area in approximately 1890. He is listed in the 1930 Census as living in Normangee, Leon County, Texas - He was 80 and his wife was 75. He and his wife are buried in a cemetary just outside of Normangee, Texas along with many of my Hensarling family relatives.
