I recently learned that my GGGfather married a second wife by the name of Bridget Elizabeth Taggert and she was enumerated along with my GGGfather in the 1880 census of Wilna, Jefferson Co., NY listed simply as Nellie 28 b. NY parents b. Ireland. Apparently this Bridget Taggert Whalen died the following year 1881 but left behind a year old son named Mathew Whalen. Does anyone have any other info on Bridget Taggert Whalen? My GGGfather was John Whalen also b. Ireland and was 44 on the 1880 census his son James 22 b. NY was my GGfather and living in the household at that time with brother George and Nellie and half brother Mathew Whalen
