My grandmother was Dollie Talkington. Her father and mother were Daniel and Susie. Her DOB Aug. 1894 in Burnt Prairie Ill.Family members Lou B, Robert, Maud, Dora. Found in 1880 and 1900. Only Maud found in 1910 census. Daniel found in 1920 census in Bokchito, OK, age 66 and widow living alone. Maud and Dollie found 1920 census. Maud married to Frank Trousdale.Married in 1913. Living in Winchester Ill. Dollie living with them. Listed as Dolly Walter, widow, with daughter Dorothy DOB Feb. 1916. In Sept. of 1920, Dollie became pregnant with my mother and gave her up for adoption at the St. Ann Orphanage, St. Louis Mo., in May 1921. In 1930, Dorothy shows up again, but now, as the daughter of Frank and Maud Trousdale in Cape Girardeau Mo. No sign of Dollie Walter. I would love to find my maternal family.
