Thank you for the information. I do have a copy of DAR records for Henry Talley as well. I do not know if we are related. The information I have is such:
Henry Talley b. abt the year 1760 (I have dates of 30 Oct 1762) in Cumberland Co. VA, names of his parents not given. While a resident of Hanover Co., VA, he volunteered early in 1780 and served one month in Capt. Elisha White's company under Colonel Stark. He enlisted in the summer of 1780 served as a private in Capt. Crawford's, Morgan's, and Thomas Edmunds' companies, Colonel William Davis and Richard Campbell's Virginia regiments, was in the battle of CAmden (Gates Defeat) and was discharged January 17, 1782. He served one month in the militia as a substitute for his uncle, Jeremiah Lindsey, dates of this service not given. Henry Talley "after Peace" moved to near Richmond, VA, then to Mecklenburg Co. NC and thence to Newton Co., GA. She was allowed pension on his application executed December 24, 1832, at whcih time he was living in Newton Co., GA. Henry Talley married December 1, 1795 in York District, SC, Edith Hubbard. She was born March 3, 1777, place not stated, nor are the names of her parents. Henry Talley died June 4, 1836 in Newton Co., GA. His widow married August 10, 1837, Francis Hopkins, from whom she was divorced September 28, 1840.
