Surnames: Talmadge, Lewis, Coyne
Hello. I'd like to know if anyone knows of a TALMADGE family which lived in Gardena, CA, possibly from the 1920's to the 1980's. Perhaps they children of the family lived in neighboring towns.
One of my father's aunts was a Mrs. Helen (LEWIS) TALMADGE, and I have been unable to find out her husband's name.
I also do not know how many children she had.
One piece of information I can offer is that she died in 1972 and was a resident of Bellflower, CA, at the time.
The informant on her death record was Mrs. Miriam COYNE of Long Beach, CA.
Helen LEWIS was born in 1896 in Stoneham, MA. She had a younger brother, John S. LEWIS, b1903 Stoneham, MA, who also moved to Gardena, CA. I have been unable to find out when they moved out there, and have been unable to find out whether they were both single when they moved - and thus married in CA.
