Hi,
I have just seen your message regarding the name Tamar.
Tamar Coupe did marry James Hayes in 1871 and conceived a son (also named James) soon after the marriage.
Sadly James died by the end of the same year aged 27 and the baby was born in 1872.
Tamar re married in 1873 to Edward Joynes from North Witham, Lincolnshire.
I expect you had this information, but thought I would share it just in case.
I also have a copy of the marriage certificate for her marriage to Edward Joynes.
Tamar and James Hayes are my Great Grandparents

Regards
Alex Hayes

We are trying to trace evidence of the marriage of Tamar, surname unknown, to James Hays, both from Tibshelf. We know our Tamar had a son James Hayes and remarried a Edward Joynes in 1873 and continued to live in the High Street, Tibshelf. Is it possible this is the Tamar Coupe mentioned in your message? We would appreciate any information you wish to share.
Regards Alex & Lin Hayes. { now with an "e" }

Thanks for your reply.My grandmother was from Crich her father was Daniel Foulds and her Mother was a Storer.At the L.D.S. library I found the name Tamar Foulds christened 1855 South Wingfield not sure if there is a connetion to my family but is possible. Here my name is very uncommon and I am always having to explain the origin.Always wished I was just plain Mary. I can't find any connection with the names that you have mentioned.

That's weird, there are Storers on the Coupe line, but they are distantly related so I don't know much about them. Francis and Tamar Coupe had a son Henry who married Charlotte Storer from Swanwick. I don't have any Foulds, but it is still interesting, Tamar as you know is the name of a river, but I can't recall where it is in England.

There are several Tamars in the family, the Tamar Thorpe I referred to had a daughter named Tamar Coupe who married James Hays. Also Tamar Thorpe had a child named Alexander Thorpe who was born out of wedlock he named one of his daughters Tamar also. I'm sure there are others. It would be interesting to research your aunt's family and see if there is some connection. The first Tamar I can find in my family was Tamar Lockhall who married Samuel Taylor from Carsington. I'm not sure where she was from. Most of them are from the Tibshelf and Crich area.

I have reason to believe the John Stocks and Tamar Taylor of Crich are the parents of Ann Stock who married John Thorpe in Crich, because of the use of the unusual name in the family line, Tamar and also because John Stocks acted as witness to the marriage bann of Ann Stocks in 1812 Crich.
I am having trouble confirming her birth date and her father's name.

Tamars

I have found a weird line through a given name Tamar. Ann Stocks of Crich married John Thorpe of Pentrich and they named their first child Tamar. When I looked for Ann Stocks birth I couldn't locate it in Crich but I did find another Tamar a daughter of John Stocks and Tamar Taylor. The year was close to Ann's birth. Tamar Taylor was from Carsington dau. of Issac Taylor and Hannah White, Isaacs parents were Samuel Taylor and Tamar Lockhall. That's where it ends, anyone having information on the Taylors, Stocks, Hannah White or Tamar Lockhall please respond.
