Classification: Query
Surnames: Tamargo Llado Menendez
My abuelo, Rene Jose Tamargo, was born in Tampa, Florida in 1909 but his parents had come from Asturias in the late 1800s. His father (my great-grandfather) was named Jose Antonio Tamargo (1875-1950) and his mother Isabel Llado. His grandfather (my great-great grandfather) was Antonio Tamargo, who married Delfina Menendez. As far as I know, they never left Asturias.
I have no more information than that. My abuelo passed away when I was young, but I remember him being reluctant to talk about his family because many of them were killed for being on the wrong side of the Spanish Civil War. I do know that he had a sister named Adela who also lived here in Tampa but passed away before I was born.
Does anyone have any of these names on their Tamargo family records? My wife and I have been steadily filling in our family trees since our daughter was born last year, but we have hit a wall on the Tamargo side. Any help would be VERY much appreciated. Thanks!
