According to tax roles there is a cemetery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania located 267 S Fifth Street which appears to be between Manning and Locust one block from Spruce. Square footage listed as 7,332. Is this the cemetery referred to as St. Andrews (now non-sectarian)? Property next to this cemetery appears to be owned by the Department of the Interior. Looking for vault of the TAMS FAMILY especially Mary Brownlow Purviance TAMS died 1830. Willing to pay for photographs.
In 1856 M'Elroys Philadelphia City Directory, St. Andrews Church listed under Protestant Espiscopal as located 8th Street at Spruce. This appears to be location of the Pennsylvania Hospital system. Can anyone confirm that the building is no longer there and has been built over?
This St. Andrews has nothing to do with the Russian Church at 5th and Fairmont which was not established until 1897 and is in different location.
