Among the children listed in a couple of genealogies that include James Tapscott and Martha Woodward Burgess of Buckingham County Virginia (m 6 Sep 1798) is a Gus Tapscott; however, no primary sources have been given. I believe that somewhere along the line the name "Geo." was mistaken for "Gus" since a George H. Tapscott (probably George Hill Tapscott) appears living near James Tapscott in the 1830, 1840 census. I have never found a Gus Tapscott. Does anyone know the primary source for Gus Tapscott of Buckingham County? Could he really be George Tapscott
