Hi. I have some information about Marie Tassin [b. 16 June 1786 d. 5 October 1851] in Avoyelles. She was the daughter of Nicholas Tassin II and Judith Juneau. She married Jospeh Guillory [I think it was the 1777-1843 Joseph Guillory, though there were two near in age] and their kids were Celeste. Jean Baptioste. Juile, and Joseph.

Is this your Marie? Are there any errors you know about in my data?

Hi, I have a Sara Tassin in my background and it may be that she is Sara Helen's grandmother. She was Sara Tassin, born Jan, 7, 1872, in Marksville, Louisiana, child of Anatole Tassin [1836-1916] and Azelie Gauthier [1836-1895].

I hope this helps. My own Tassin great-grandmother, Caroline, goes back to the original Tassin to come from France, Joseph [1711 or 1718- 1779], who is [the family all claim] the patriarch of ALL Lousiana Tassins, so doubtless yours in somehow related to mine!

If you find out how she is, please let me know so I can add her to my family tree!

I am searching for any information about Sarah Tassin's husband, my Great Grand Father. I don't know his name and can't trace my family history any further until I find out who he is. Sarah past away before I was able to ask and no relative that I know has the information. If there is anyone that can help. Sarah was from Mandeville, Louisiana (I beleive).

The only son that I'm aware of was my Grand Father Ward Tassin (SR); and her living grand kids are Barbara Wetekam from Mandeville, Pete Tassin from Grand Rapids, MI, Donald Tassin from Harahan, LA, and Patsy Tassin from Florida. If anyone can reach them also have them send me an email. (melvin.tasin@yahoo.com)

I am unaware of any other Sons or daughters that Sarah had. Again any information is helpful. Please contact me at the above email.

Anyone interested in a copy of the U. S. Department of State's "Report of the Death of an American Citizen" for Mr. Ferdie C. Tassin, please contact me so I can conduct research to locate the record. Mr. Tassin died in Cuba on June 6, 1937.

I am Looking for a girl named Darlene Tassin...her Maiden name. If anyone has any info I sure would appreciate it. Darlene went to I believe St. Joesph's and or Kennedy High in New Orleans, and worked for National American Bank back in the 70's.

I am searching for children of Marvin Anthony Scallan born 20 Sept 1931 in Avoyelles Parish, La. and died 3 February 1991 in Harris County. He was the son of Turner J. Scallan and MARY GAILLARD daughter of Adelma Gailard and OLITA TASSIN both from Avoyelles Parish, La. I am a daughter of Turner Scallan and Tomye Golden and have just learned of this half brother while doing family research.Both parents are deceased so am hoping someone will be able to tell me about Marvin Scallan, have been searching for over two years and have so little info on him. Willie was married to Zeline Francisco Tassin. They had five children: Ottie Mae Tassin Trusty, Mary Helen Tassin Jordan, Fleix Tassin, Martin Tassin, and Aaron Tassin.

My name is Pat Hahn. I do not have info on this message but am a Glindmeyer researcher. I wonder if we have connections. I was in New Orleans last year and saw Glindmeyer name. Every Glindmeyer in Greater Cincinnati area is related. My direct line is John Henry Glindmeyer born 1829 in Osede Hanover Germany. I have never been able to find a Germany connection. Do you have one?? The family settled in Covington Kentucky somewhere between 1850 and 1860. They are not on the 1850 census. I have my records on Family Tree and could sent them if you would like.

Hello! I'm looking for information on Victor Tassin born~1855 and his wife Aimdier Perique, born ~1863. They were married 6/28/1879 & had about 9 kids: Deloney (my great-grandfather), Mable, Waldo, Jeannette, Calise, Claire, Munson, Carroll, & Bulla/Beaulock(?). Other kids or relations= Nolan & Lula Tassin. My grandmother, Thelma Tassin was daughter of Deloney & Viola Braud Tassin. Their family eventually moved to New Orleans,LA. A few of the kids moved to California-(Alvis & Farrell). Any info would help. Thanks!!
