My father was George Taxis Vance. His mother was Helen I. Taxis. His grandfather, who was in Civil War from IL, was Gideon Richardson Taxis. Gideon's father was John B. Taxis, and his grandfather was George Friedrich Taxis, who came to PA from Germany. I have much to share with anyone searching this line. Email me! Marge
