On Dec. 16, 1863, in Caroline Co., Va. Robert Taylor married a woman called Omozena. In the 1850 Census she is identified as Samasendy, 32 years old. In 1860 she goes by Ormizinda, 43 years old. In 1870 it's Amasinda, 54 years old. 1880: Armazindo, 55 years old. Robert's will has a blank after the phrase: "my beloved wife".
The part of Caroline Co. the Taylors lived in was and is still home to many Native Americans of the Rappahannock tribe. I have talked with a few of them but nobody remembers back that far. And there are no written records that I have been able to find. If anyone has any information on either the Taylors or the Rappahanocks I would appreciate it. Thanks.
