Hi I am looking for info on a Willie Taylor who m Mary (unknown maiden name). Willie and Mary had 1 daughter Terry Lynn Taylor b 1969. Mary and Willie later divirced. Willie died in the 1990's. I believe he was stabbed in a bar fight (could be wrong about that). Not sure where he died. I know that he and Mary lived in Florida. Does this match anything you have?

I am researching my family tree and have found that my Grandmother's parents were William Alderson and Mary Ann Taylor, married on June 7th 1870 in the Parish of Seaham, Co. Durham. On the Marriage cert. her father is Thomas Taylor, farmer. On a UK census in 1871 Mary Ann's birthplace was entered as Old Scone Scotland.

I haven't had much luck finding the Taylor family on Scotland's people and wondered if yours is the same Taylor Family??

Katherine Young (born 1732, daughter of Henry Young and Rachel Smith of Essex Co., VA) married an unknown Mr. Taylor (probably about 1750 or so). Mr. Taylor apparently died, and Katherine married second Latane Montague. Does anyone have any idea who the above Mr. Taylor might have been? Does anyone know if Mr. Taylor and Katherine Young had any children? There was an Elizabeth Taylor (born 1752) who married William Garrett, and one of their sons was named John Smith Garrett (shown as just Smith Garrett on the 1820 Essex Co., VA census), and I wonder if this Elizabeth Taylor was a daughter of the above Mr. Taylor and Katherine Young. I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this, but if not, I'm sorry.

I'm looking for an obituary of Edmond Seyfang Taylor. He died in 1908 His widow was Betha Littell Taylor, and I think they were somewhere in either Cambridgshire, Kent, Surry.
I'd like to know about his parents, and sibblings.
I know Bertha came to American with the children in 1910.
I have information on them here in US, its England and their lives there that I'm trying to learn about.
Hopefully finding Edmund Seyfang Taylors' obituary will help me do that.

Yeah, guess I left it kind of vague on purpose and used code words that would let the person or persons who posted his information on a certain site that specializes in determining relatives in a unique way know that I had found their posting.

These code words include "Most Recent Common Ancestor" or MRCA, also the phrase 'within X generations'.

So, since the other party did not leave me any other information to go off of, I have no other information that I can give/post.

Hence the reason for wording my post in the manner that I did, hoping in such a way to catch their attention to have them return to one of the posting sites that they used, I haven't found it posted elsewhere, and see that they have two more ancestors out there. Myself and Robert Lee Taylor who also did not leave an address or hasn't checked the site in we can't tell how long or how long ago they submitted their results. In both these individual's cases we have no idea if the name used is an ancestor's or the actual individual. We don't know if they are even still alive.

Who is William Jefferson Taylor Jr. possibly of Montgomery or Miami County Ohio. I don't know what generation or time span that he lived, except to say sometime between 1800 and present day. Great, that narrows it down doesn't it.

We supposedly share a most recent common ancestor within 3 generations, or within 75 years, that helps narrow it down, maybe?

My great great grandfather Egbert Taylor born 1868 married Eva Malott born approx. 1872, they had a son, Cortland Taylor born 1894, and they were from Syracuse/Oswego area. The names match but Cortland was Eva's son, not her husband.

I am trying to find the parents/ancestors of Charles Taylor who married Catherine Schemmmerhorn. Charles was born in May 1857 in Wisconsin according to the 1900 Census. He had 4 children named Pearl, Reube, Raymond, and Donald Dwight Taylor. The census said that Charles' father was born in Connecticut and his mother was born in New Hampshire. Any help tring to find this line of the Taylor family would be appreciated.

Mrs. Marion Taylor, age 85, died Saturday, October 17, 2009, in Tallahassee.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2009, in the Beggs Funeral Home, Madison Chapel. Burial followed in the Midway Cemetery in Lee. Visitation was one hour prior to funeral service.

She was born in Wixom, Michigan and having lived in Livonia, Michigan, before moving to Lee in 1978.

She retired from Kelsey-Hayes Automotive and was the mother of six children, 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, William Dave Taylor, Sr.; one son, William Dave Taylor, Jr.; five daughters, Marilyn Faye Taylor, Patricia Ann Taylor, Sandra Kay Black, Theresa Lynn Puzzuoli and Bonnie Sue Short; one sister, Gladys Sheppard; 16 grandchildren, Brittany Short, Amanda Short, Melanie Melton, Jason Melton, Nicholas Puzzuoli, Kristian Holmberg, William Taylor III, Mathew Taylor (in Iraq), Andrew Taylor and Simon Taylor; and seven grandchildren, Macy Holmberg, Kelsey Holmberg, Chloe Holmberg, Nathan Holmberg, Luc Hill, Leland Hill and Matthew Black

I know you did not include much information to your post. I am decended from a rather large group of Taylors which many migrated up into Oho, Since I have not tracked most of this bunch down, he could fall in my line. Do you know anything such as his parents, other siblings ect?? This is information that anyone who will try to help you will need. The name of William Taylor is a very very common name and there are 2 or 3 main groups of Taylors.Do you know if he may have had any children that we can work off of from births. Do you know if he was ever married? He is supposed to be related to you in some way, and if so give us your line of people, then we can track it back that way.Do you know if he was originally from Ohio..Any item of information can help any number of us who have or is resarching the Taylors

Tim, I clicked on your name in the post and looked at the pictures in your tree, I believe we have a picture that is the same. i think it is of a Speed Taylor . Go to my nam on here and click it, then look at the pictures I have and you may recognize it. Is of an older gentleman and the pictures is somewhat scragley... My tree it's slf is open and if we have atleast one picture the same, then there is a line there to work off of.It also will show you all the trees this picture has been attached to as well as the one I obtained it from.

Taylors of Rathmell Yorkshire

I am trying to find information regarding the Taylor family who farmed around Hesley Lane, Rathmell, Yorkshire in the 1800s and possibly earlier. I would be grateful if anyone has anything which would assist me in building my family tree. I am also trying to trace a James Taylor who married a Dorothy Blackwell at Gisburn, Yorkshire in 1820. Dorothy came from Houghton by Settle, Yorkshire (now known as Tosside).

I am trying to find information relating to James Taylor who I think was born in Bolton-by-Bowland in Gisburn Forest, Yorkshire. I think he married Dorothy (Dolly) Blackwell at Gisburn on 4th Nov 1820 but the trail has gone cold and I would be grateful if anyone has any information which might be relevant. James had 6 children, William, Thomas, Richard, John, Stephen and Ambrose who lived at Rathmell, near Settle, Yorkshire.
