Trying to establish if Jacob Thomas Teachey who was CSA (Confedrates States of America)who might have been only 12 or 13 when he entered the Civil War in 1862, born in Island CreeK, Wallace, NC had a father and mother whose names were Michael and Nancy (Rouse) Teachey. I see him as JT, Jacob, Jake, Jacob Tom, etc. with birthdates from 1844, 1845, 1849, and 1850 and may have died in 1925. His military record says he was 19 when entered the Civil War in 1862. The different Census for these parents show some sort of split up where their many children take different sides different Census periods. I also see that he may had two step siblings and another sister, Francenia (Sena) or Frances who also shows up living with his brother, Owen J. Teachey in another couple's home whose last name are Thompson or Thomas. Miss Francenia Teachey never married, died at age 77, is buried at Pinhook Cemetary. Who is she??? Her death certificate says, "father unknown", mother Susan Teachey??? Jacob's supposed father, Michael Teachey is some 25 years older than his wife, Nancy. What happened to their marriage?? Their children???
