Samuel Clemmens and Martha Teffeteller

I am searching for information on Samuel Clemens who married Martha Teffeteller in Blount County, Tn in about 1836. Martha is the daughter of Jacob Tefeteller and Rachel Curtis. There were several Clemens in Blount County at that time but I cannot seem to find a connection. Samuel Clemens was not listed in 1860 census. Any information would be greatly appreciated....
