I am searching for information on Samuel Clemens who married Martha Teffeteller in Blount County, Tn in about 1836. Martha is the daughter of Jacob Tefeteller and Rachel Curtis. There were several Clemens in Blount County at that time but I cannot seem to find a connection. Samuel Clemens was not listed in 1860 census. Any information would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks, Teresa

Enoch H. and Martha Elizabeth Coker Teafatiller

I would love to correspond with descendants of above. Not my direct line but am researching the Coker family in Walton County, Georgia. Enoch was a son of William and Lydia Teafatiller. Enoch and family moved to Collin County, Texas by 1880. I assume the couple died because I found their son James W. in the Chickasaw Nation in the 1900 census and living with his family were 2 sisters, Rena and Sarah and his Uncle Daniel.
I would love to know what happened to Enoch and Martha and the names of their children. They had a son Daniel that was living with his brother James W. in the 1910 census in Johnston County, Oklahoma.

Thanks for any information.

Kindest regards,
Beth Gay

Tefertiller in TX, AR, OK

I thought I would post this, someone may be looking for the info. A George Tefertiller and wife (I think she is Emily) bought land in Wise County TX from a David M Davis in 1859 and then they sold the land to James Thronhill (my family) in 1864.

The Thornhills came to Wise County from Washington County AR. The deed records suggest that they swapped land with the Tefertillers. therefore the Tefertillers go to Washington county AR.

Months later I am searching deed records in Tillman County OK and find a George B Tefertiller as Grantor 1-24-1910. Considering the span of years, doubtful the same Tefertiller family. Nevertheless thought I should post this info.
I found a land record for a George B Tefertiller in Tillman county OK 1910. Was looking for another family at the time, the name caught my eye because a relative bought land from a George Tefertiller in Wise County TX in late 1800s. That Tefertiller left Wise County TX and went back to Ark.
