Looking for Ancestors of William A Tenney and Bertha (??) Tenney
Looking for infor on the ancestors of William A Tenney and Bertha (??) Tenney who appear to have been married about 1893. They had 9 children 5 of which survived. William Tenney was born about 1873, possibly in NY, and Bertha ?? was born about 1878 in PA.
According to family history, William may have been adopted by a "preacher". The adoption theory seems plausible, since the birthplace of his parents recorded in the census varies...
I have located my Tenneys in the Harrisburg Area of PA on the 1910 through 1930 census records, but can find no trace of them prior to that.
