The funniest thing happened. Through Facebook I was contacted by Jesse Teran in Oklahoma about 7 months ago or so. I mentioned your name to him and he said you are his sister. I just thought I'd share that with you.

Hi my maiden name is Monica Oropeza. My father is Miguel Cesar Oropesa Teran. I am also looking for more on the Teran family. I have a large family tree (connected to over 45 million entries) including family Pacheco. Francisco Alvarez de Toledo Pacheco (son of Count and Countess of Oropeza) is the Spanish conquistador that traveled to Peru and Bolivia, and founded many cities. My family is from Bolivia and many of us now live in the US. Email me and we can compare relatives.

I'm related to him. He's my 1st cousin. We called him Tommy. He was a very nice and soft spoken person. He was well liked by everyone.I last saw him at my mother and father's home just before he shipped out to Vietnam. He came here to Port Arthur, Texas to see our grandmother. And his mother and father, along with his sisters, came down to see him before he shipped out. I never though that this would be the last time I would see him. My aunt was told he was missing on Mother's Day. She prayed to God to let her know what happen to Tommy before she died. And he prayers were answered a short time before she was taken. His remains were recovered and buried in Arlington cemetery. His family lives in the Detriot area (Dearborn Heights).

hi there, i have read the previous threads here and found out that the family of Teran were mostly from Mexico. my grandfather is Agustin Teran (i am not sure if i spelled his first name right). he is Spanish. i am just wondering if anyone here have new traces of our ancestors. by the way, i am from the Philippines. if you haven't heard of that, it is located in South East Asia. there is one thread here which stated that she is from Philippines, hope we get in touch, maybe we're relatives

Hi, my name is Simona De La Cruz, my maiden is Teran. My Dad is Victor Teran from Michigan. His parents are Arturo and Juanita Teran from Port Arthur, TX. I am seeking descendants of Teresa Teran (maiden name Nevarez). Teresa married Jesus Teran in 1902. Their son Tomas was born in San Andres (Riva Palacio) in 1904. Jesus was from San Lorenzo and he had 12 siblings: Refugio, Rosario, Evarista, Rosalia, Gregorio, Julian, Ruperto, Joan Catarino, Guadalupe, Francisca, and Tecla. Teresa had three sisters: Romana, Jesus, and Josefa. They were from Santa Ysabel. Romana married Francisco Silva, Jesus married Gregorio Espalin, Josefa married Roberto Silva.

My great-grandfather, Gergorio Terran was born in AugaCaliente in 1887 and married Eva Macias...born in 1891. I don't know anything about brothers or sisters or why they came to the U.S. Any additional info you might have would help. Thank you.

I am looking for my husband's family. His grandfather was Victoriano Teran born 1895. He was married to Maria (Duval) but was changed to Del Val born 1898. They had several children. This is my first time on this site and it's very interesting. My fathers name is Ernesto Teran and he was born in a small town of Madera in Chihuahua Mexico. I've been reading that many Teran's are in northern Mexico near El Paso/Juarez area. I have many relatives in that area but with the surname Bolanos (My mothers side). My fathers brother was Raul Teran or Hildardo Teran who recently passed away in June of 2002. My fathers sister is Carolina Teran who is well and living in Silverdale, WA. I live in the Los Angeles area.

Efren Teran, Sr., 80, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2003. Efren was born June 18, 1923 in Torreon, Mexico, but spent most of his life in Cd. Juarez, Mexico and El Paso, TX. Efren spent his business career as a manager in the Department of Commerce and the Chamber of Tourism in the greater El Paso/Cd. Juarez area. He owned a travel agency and tour bus company, which afforded him the opportunity to travel throughout Mexico, and worked with dignitaries in both countries. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Estella; sons, Efren Kaleb and his partner, Kevin McCoy and Eric and his wife, Francine Garcia; and sister, Carmela Teran of Cd. Juarez, Mexico. The Terans moved from El Paso, TX to Veguita, NM in 1996 to enjoy their retirement on their ranch with their nine Arabian horses. He will be missed by his family, friends and all those who associated with him throughout his life. A celebration of life will be Saturday, August 16, 2003, 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 601 Montano Rd NW, with The Rev. Brian C. Taylor, officiant. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to University Hospice, 1650 University NE, Suite 200, Abq, NM 87102. My grandpa´s name was also Pedro Terán and he lived in Hoyos (a small litle village in Spain). We share the same ancestors!, and I bet you have a very ROMAN nose!. As a matter of fact I KNOW you have a roman nose, because... I'm your sister. A big hug from Nieves

My grandfather Pedro Terán was born in Cantabria, north of Spain. He lived in Hoyos de Valdeolea.There is also in Cantabria a small village Terán. I have traced heraldics for Terán.

I have an Uncle named Victoriano Teran that still lives in El Paso, I believe he is a half brother to my dad (Lalo Teran). I believe my uncle Victor is or may be his son. If I remember right that was also my Grandmothers name. Let me know if I can help you get in touch with him...
