Hello everyone. my maiden name was Rebecca Terraand I am desperate to learn anything I can about my family history.I have so little info I'm not sure any one can much but, I'll give the info I do have. My grandfather (and hero) was named Ernest Leslie Terra born on April 20,1924 in Lemoore Ca and died October 1,1994 He married Wilma Voss Born on January 1,1926 she died in October of 1999.They had 2 sons Steven Terra and my Dad Paige B. Terra. I was told than my grandfathers father was named Samuel Terra he married Rose terra . Thats all i know at this point If anyone can help me find my familys history I would be eternally greatful and I know my daughters will be also. Thank you .

I am looking for information on my G grandmother and her family from Portugal. I dont know much as far as dates except for hers. Her name is Mary Nunes Terra. Date of Birth is Jan.07 1894 Date of Death is Nov.26 1970 with no social security number. Her sisters are Pauline Terra, Mable Terra, Leann Terra, Rosa Terra. I was told that the sisters lived in Lemoore California.With one Brother named Manuel. Mary Nunes Terra's Parents are Rosa Nunes and Frank Terra. From what I understand Frank had a brother named Raulino Terra. Mary Terra Married a man (my G. grandfather) Albert Denser they lived in Stockton Ca. and later moved to Santa Cruz Ca. If anybody has any thing that matches please e mail me.

I have traced and documented my father's ancestry back for 5 generations. He was from Terceira but his great grandfather and great great grandfather were from Prainha do Norte, Pico. My great grandfather Francisco Jose da Terra also known as Jose Francisco Terra was a famous Cantoria ao Desafio singer. Manoel da Terra and Antonio da Terra were from Pico and then there are three Francisco Jose Terra's from Terceira in the area of Cabo da Praia, Porto Martins, Sao Sebastiao, and Porto Judeu.

I am searching for a John TERRA, he came to America from the Pico Islands of Portugal in the late 1800's or early 1900's. His point of entry was Ellis Island than by train to Sacramento, CA where a brother - Frank TERRY owned "Terry's Lumber Yard."

I am looking for information on a family member. John Thomas Terry. I have not had any luck, I recently noticed that on his marriage bond to Nancy H. Farrow, his name was spelled John T. Terra. I am wondering if it is common for the name to be changed from Terra to Terry in the early 1800's. Maybe that is why I can not find anyinfo under the name of Terry. Can anyone help me

I am searching for information on Aura Cardoza Terra and Fred Terra. Fred's father was John Terra from Pico Islands. He and his brother Frank settled in Sacramento after immigrating from the Azores/Pico. There was also a brother Samuel Terra They were all dutch who changed their names from VanAarden(sp) to Terra. I am doing research for Clyde Terra, son of Aura Cardoza and Fred Terra. Looking forward to hearing from other Terra researchers.
