Surnames: Tew, Borden, Searcy, Griffin, Lockhart, Thomas, Fortner
I have a different email address: shepep2@bellsouth.net. My Borden/Lockhart/Thomas families settled in North Alabama. My Tew/Searcy/Griffin families settled in the Barbour County/Henry County of Alabama area. James Hawkins Borden settled in Walker County, AL in the early 1800's, the Lockhart family came from Jackson Co, FL and the Thomas family moved a great deal - settling in Blount and Walker County.
