This man was prolific, to say the least. I am looking for any evidence of his residence between 1795 and 1840. He was a tinmaker and traveled between Philidelphia and lower Mississippi and Arkansas.

Could someone tell me the age of Peter in the Tn. census.The reason I ask is I have a Peter Ingalls born 1810 in N Y Peter is listed with 3 different ages in the Texas census. The 1880 census makes him born in 1810.Thanks

You just confirmed I'm probably wrong. My Peter was born 1-14-1810.From family records, Samuel my ggggrandfather b1802, other siblings Amanda,Joshua,Mahala,Caleb,Hiram and John.Have lots of info on Samuel and some on Mahala. Their parents ,I think ,Samuel and Clarissa Ingalls found in 1850 census Wilna,Jefferson Co.NY(spelled Ingles).Samuel in 1820 census spelled Ingalls in Champion,Jefferson Co,NY.Thanks for your respond. They are James Lafayette Thedford (b Apr 1840) and Martha Hawthorn (b. May 1854).

Sorry for being so late to answer - computer crashed and just got it up with new drives.

They very close to the family and the Thedford family reunion that I last attended, about 5 years ago, was at Uncle Willie's house. It was still owned by the family. I can look up some info if you are still interesed (pictures, etc.).

I am your half sister. Actually, from this marriage, you have three half brothers and two half sisters. I am sure there were others after us. This portion all live in Maryland. I knew of your existence because I read something about you when I was about 13 yrs. old (being nosy) I believe it was involving your adoption. I have told my siblings and various other family members of your existence over the previous years. There is a detrimental history regarding our father which comes into play and legally, he is no longer our father. The correct spelling of our name is Yourishin. I am very sorry I can't help you. I know very little about the Thedford family. My grandmother's name was Mentie Thedford Cundiff. She had a brother named Munn and a sister named Emma Thedford Hitt. They all lived in Seagoville, Texas. I have no idea where they were from originally nor their birthdays.

I am Aleta S. Thedford. My father was Alfred W. Thedford born 05/23/15. His parents were Edward I. Thedford and Sarah Jane (VanZandt) Thedford. The family lived in either Perryville Arkansas or West Monroe Louisiana. Not sure if there is any relation, but I am trying to find any living relative of my father. Thanks!

Has anyone heard of a Basil Thedford, from Dyersburg Tennessee born around 1900? He was my grandfather's brother, and for some reason spelled his name Thedford instead of Thetford, like his other two brothers, R.P. and Kermit. I am sorry to say that I have very little info on Francis Reeves(other than birth death dates). Let me know if you want those. Also, the only picture of William Benjamin that I know of is at my husband's aunt's house. It is in an old oval frame and cannot be removed. She will not allow an attempt to copy it. I'm also from the same family of Thedfords but through Allen and Mariah. The Irus your speaking of is buried at Seven Leagues and shares a tombstone with his parents William and Jane. The Ben and Amanda that you see on the census is a brother and his wife Amanda Ingles a sister to the wife of Allen. there are three Thedford brothers who married three Ingle sisters. Looking for information on an early THETFORD in New Castle, DE
In 1747 a Patrick Carrel, an Irish servant, was runaway from Walter
THETFORD. Mill Creek Hundred, New Castle.
In 1753 Walter THETFORD, Mill Creek Hundred, had his property for sale.

There is a record of a Walter THETFORD who married Rebecca RAMMAGE in
Philadelphia in 1733.

Would a man living in Newcastle possibly marry in Philadelphia, PA?

Who is Simon THETFORD listed as having daughter Mary born 1749 with his wife
Elizabeth? This daughter was christened at Old Swede's Church, New Castle, DE.

Was Simon a kinsman of Walter?

My thought is that the above MAY be the same man as Walter who died in 1767 in Orange Co., NC who named wife Rebecca in his will.

This Walter had a son named Simon. Perhaps he was naming Simon after his brother (or other kinsman) Simon....possibly the one above?

Does anyone have any information about any of this? or any thoughts?

Aunt Cordie was the sister of my grandfather William Floyd Stagner. I vaguely remember her from when I was a child. I am now 53. She had a daughter Willadean who married someone named Fuller, if I remember.

My grandfather William Floyd Stagner married one of William Thedford's sisters, my grandmother, Bessie Lee Thedford Stagner. They had 5 children, Lawrence, Wilma, Clyde, Veta Mae, and my father Delmer. All are now deceased.

Much of the family is buried in the Mulhall Cemetary near Orlando, OK.
