Mrs. Theil was born January 17, 1925 in Takoma Park, MD to Michael T. & Florence M. (Jacobs) Anderson, Sr. She resided in Wooster, OH, where she died on Friday, April 28, 2006. She was a former resident of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. She was a graduate of Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, MD in June 1942. She married Kenneth W. Theil, Sr. on December 24, 1942, and attended Temple Business College in Bethesda, MD. She became a Patents Clerk with the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of the Assistant General Counsel for Patents, Atomic Energy Commision. She served 22 years in that capacity and retired in 1988. She enjoyed tennis in early years and later duck-pin bowling. She was also a Washington Redskins fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Florence Mae Dunbar, and brothers, Alfred V. & Henry Anderson.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Kenneth W. (Beverly V.) Theil, Jr. of Wooster; grandsons, Kenneth W. Theil III (Dr. Sarah Lathrop) of Albuquerque, NM, and Karl H. (Katrina) Theil of Apple Valley, MN; one great-grandson, Kelland Kenneth Theil of Albuquerque; brothers, Michael T. (Lucille) Anderson, Jr. of Maryland City, MD; Charles Anderson of Hazel Crest, IL; sister, Barbara Bell of Brentwood, MD, & many nieces & nephews.
Funeral services to be conducted Friday, May 5, 11 a.m. at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home. Interment to follow in the Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, MD.
