Adam or Peter Theobald, Honesdale Pa /Colorado

I'm looking for descendents of Adam Theobald, b. 10/3/1835 or his brothers: Peter, Henry (possible), Daniel and Jacob. Adam was married to Theresa Vogel (in Germany), b. 6/1/1842. Originally from Bavaria, Germany, they settled in Honesdale PA. I'm descended from Adam, through his son Peter, who married Kathryn Herzog in Honesdale, in 1903. Peter Kathryn moved to Breckenridge Colorado early in their marriage, and my family has been there ever since. Peter Katheryn are my ggrandparents. Adam's brother's Peter and Daniel also ended up in Colorado, in Idaho Springs/Creswell - Clear Creek County. I don't know much about this side of my family, and would love to learn more.

I'm also hoping that someone can help me with a dilemma. My parents have 2 photo albums - very fancy, velvet covers with thick cardboard pages. These albums are full of very nice portraits, in very good condition. There must be 40-50 pictures in the two albums. Almost all of them were taken in Honesdale, or Clear Creek county, Co. I was only able to find one picture with any kind of name on it - Theresa Vogel. By comparing them to a group picture of Adam Theobald's family, we were able to identify some of the pictures, but there are many more that we can't identify. I'm sure the majority of them are probably Theobalds, possibly some Herzog's. I'm hoping that if I can contact some other descendents, they may have pictures of their ancestors that might help identify who some of these other people are. I figure it's worth a try, anyway. Any help would be most appreciated.

Theobold FYI

I am researching The name Tidball which means son of theobold/or theobald.I've come across some interesting facts for instance If you take the root meaning of the name it means Theo or people and bold/bald meaning brave or bold.
The name come from a Germanic tribe of people known for their bravery in facing the Roman Army.Due to thier fierce fighting skill they were one of the only communities that were never defeated by the Roman Army.In fact they were feared even by hardened Roman soldiers.Beacuse of this other tribes called them the bold people.
The Battle flag represented by them was described as three yellow or gold crosses in a field of red most likely representing Christian values and beliefs.
the crest design upon the shield was that of an eagle soaring into the clouds.(if anyone has seen these or has the flag or crest I would love to see them. All I have is a description)
Some other names that came out of Theobold/Theobald are Tydball,Tidball,Tedball and Tudball that I am familiar with.
Dave

Aunt Irene as we all knew her was born Friday, April 13, 1906 in Shelby Co. Indiana. She was the youngest of the 13 children of Charles Henry Theobald and Sophia Haehl. Aunt Irene never married but was famous among the family for never missing sending out birthday and other occasion cards for her extended family. My son was in the Gulf War and was always amazed that no matter where he was he would get a card from his great, great Aunt Irene. She had finally moved from the family Farm on Blue Ridge Road in Shelbyville just last year. Except for being crippled up by Arthritis she was healthy till then end and always mentally sharp. We will all miss her.

Since the ancestors of Bernard are known for at least a few generations back and since He immigrated from Germany about 1850 I do not feel that he is closely related to your family but perhaps distant relations . Bernard taught at the university of Trier in Trier Germany and lived in Metz France for awhile He left Germany due to political upheaval at the time, He later taught at Parochial scolls in Buffalo Grove Illinois . So if you come across Theobalds that you can't place perhaps they are this family as he had a very large family

I'm looking for descendents of Adam Theobald, b. 10/3/1835 or his brothers:
Peter, Henry (possible), Daniel and Jacob. Their parents were Jacob Theobald and Maria Knoll. Adam was married to Theresa Vogel in Germany. She was b. 6/1/1842, dau. of George Vogel and Hannah Koch. Originally from Germany, they settled in Honesdale, Wayne county, PA. I'm descended from Adam, through his son Peter, who married Kathryn Herzog, dau. of Joseph Herzog Katheryn Langendoerfer,in Honesdale in 1903. Peter Kathryn moved to Breckenridge Colorado early in their marriage, and my family has been there ever since. Peter Kathryn are my ggrandparents. Adam's brother's Peter and Daniel also ended up in Colorado, in Idaho Springs / Creswell - Clear Creek County. I don't know much about this side of my family, and would love to learn more.

Theobalds in Ia

Yes There are some Theobalds left from the Manilla Area. Actually we live more in the C.B. area. My husbands grandmother just past away on July 16th at the Manilla Manor. The rest of us live in the Council Bluffs Area. Will be going off line soon so it would be nice if you looked us up in the phone book. Tim and Jane Theobald
