I am looking for information on the family of Marie Thibodeaux m. William Lavergne c. 1870 or so. I believe she was born in the 1840's. 1880 census for St. Landry Parish lists her as mulatto and her husband as black, however family history says this family was Native American. I think the family lived in Acadia Parish for a time. Her daughter, Louvinia Lavergne, married Joseph Landry in 1890 in Church Point.
