I am searching for family information for my deceased husband, William H. Hebestreit, who was born in Jamaica, NY, in 1923. His father, Willy Hebestreit, was born near Berlin, Germany in 1892 and came to the U.S. with his father, Hermann Hebestreit, and family in 1894. Hermann Hebestreit (mother Wilhemina Kessler) and his wife Emma Hebestreit, nee Eichler, lived and died on the Island. They had 3 dghts, one(Herta) stayed in Germany. Willy & his fatehr Hermann Hebestreit both were bakers and owned bakeries in Jamaica, Long Island, circas early 1920s to 1940's. My husband died in 1996 --an only son of an only son of an only son. Seeking family members, if any, in the U.S. or Germany.
