Need some help on Gonzales LA Thomassie

Hello,
I'm attempting to put a "book" together for my grandchildren. I have good information that their gggrandfather was Belizare Louis Thomassie, their gggrandmother was Regina Louise Bourgeoius. Would anyone have information on these people that they would be willing to share with me? From what I've found on the Web, Belizare was born in Duck Roost, LA on Dec 18, 1887.
The Thomassie family is not related to me and I don't have a way to get information on the family other than to hope someone on this list would be kind and share what they know with me so I can get a little further on the information I'm putting together for my grandchildren.

My grandchildren are young and I'd like to give them this gift that they can appreciate when they're older and curious about their roots in Louisiana. I am looking for information on an Edward Thomassee listed as living Ward 9, Natchitoches, LA 1900 family. I am interested in the adopted daughter listed as Celestine Moreau, Feb 1890, 10, LA ; adopted dau of Edward Thomassee. I looking for information on this adoption or any information on this daughter. ex: mother, father and any possilbe siblings and what happened on there was this adoption. any information could be of great help. I am looking for information on my Great- grand mother and grandfather. She married Joseph Aurther Lemoine They lived around Cypress Louisiana. That is where my grandfather Joseph Eldin Lemoine was born. Joseph Aurther is the son of Julian Lemoine and Sallie Bell.

my name is david thomasee sr.i was born aug 56 in natchitoches,la. my mother was emma jean thomasee.i was raised by the lasyone family,maybe that explains my relationship with james ( lasyone's restaurant ).that's about all i know about the thomasee family.hope you can help

My name is Kathy Thomisee Haddix. I have been researching the Thomassee/Thomisee family for 20 years. Who is your grandfather? I don't believe I've run accross any David Thomassee any where. I would love to know how you are related. I am also related to the Lasyones.

My name is David Anthony Thomasee, and although I wasnt born in Natchitoches, my father is from there and I lived there for several years. My father's name is also David thomasee and he has a brother in Natchitoches who owns a little diner called LASYONE'S. I'm not sure how much help I can be but I'll try to help out a little

My husband's family is from the Gonzales area.
He does not know much about his father or paternal grandparents except names. His father is Gary Thomassie who married Charlene Smith. They had two sons Daryl
Wayne 9/15/64 and Randall Paul 11/9/65.
The Grandfather's name was Leo perhaps Leonard. I do not know the grandmothers name. If you have any information about these people please reply and thanks in
advance! Interesting note: My husband travelled to Augusta Bay, Sicily(Italy) and was thought to be Italian. When asked his name the person told him a large group of Thomassie's lived there. Perhaps this is where Thomassie Roots come from.

I am looking for Thomasee's in the Natchitoches parish. I do not have much information on them. My great grand mother was Isabelle Thomasee she married Joseph Lemoine. They had 7 children before her early death. I was told that her father may have been Antoine. I have a few of her siblings Bertrand, Riley, and Luddy he was in the military. I couldn't quite place the names that you were stating in my family tree, but the names sound to familiar. Probably because they were named after someone else. I am Matt Thomassee and descendant of Louis Thomasino and Marie Rachal. Please leave me a message and tell me which branch your family is from. I strongly need to locate and talk to someone descendant from Katherine Thomassee (1832 - 1916) and Severin Breville. I strongly feel that one of Katherine's descendants might have information which would explain my families flight from the Nachitoches region.

Hello Madam. I am writing to give you some information which may be of help to you. My information shows that the Toussaint Thomassee which you are researching was born in France in july of 1837 and came to the U.S. from France in 1853. He is the progenitor of the Lafourche/Raceland Thomassee families. Now there is another Thomassee family which is descendant from Luis Thomasino. They have been in Louisiana since the 1780's and may have come to Louisiana from Spain although they are believed to have originally come from Sicily, Italy. I hope this helps you in you research. Hello Cousin it is extremely strange that I would find your message the day after you enetered it.. considering I rarely get on the computer anymore to do genealogy research. However for some odd reason I got on it today. I know of Blanche Thommassee and Felix Domec. In fact I have a copy of their marriage certificate right in front of me dated Oct. 25 1924. Blanche Thomassee was the daughter of Ernest Thomassee and Rose Philomene Bethancourt. Ernest and his brother are the descendants of all the Thomassee's in the Cecilia area. A little note interest for you is where Your Grandmother's name came from. As I was told and research has affirmed.. she was named after her aunt which passed away at a young age while she was still in her mothers womb. It has been a rough voayge tracing our family. Due to reasons which are still unknown to me, our branch of the family seperated from the Nachitoches/Alexandrian Thomassee's for reasons still unknown to me. However we are descendants of Luis Thomasino and Catherine Lattier who were here in Louisiana in the 1700's. Another note, this one about the family seperation, In 1903 when the made a distribution table of heirs for the descendants of ole' Luis Thomasino none of our family could be located by the Nachitoches Thomassee's. If you know any old stories please share them.. they have helped alot in trying to piece together what happened with our family. One more thing and I will stop tying up the message board. To the best of my knowledge there is no established link between the Luis Thomasino families of Nachtoches/Alexandria and the Toussaint Thomassee families of Lafourche/Raceland. If I remember right Toussaint arrived in Louisiana many years later from France. Please contact me and I will help you anyway I can.

Effie Thomassie was my father's half sister. She married Joseph Augustine Bercegeauy. She also had three brothers Belizari born December 18 1887, died Jan.2, 1936,Omer born Jan.21, 1895 died July 28 1973,Euloge born September 25 1891 died April 18, 1949 Effie father died and thats when her mother married my Father's dad his name was Adam Duplessis. And Effie mother's maiden name was Harriet LeBlanc.I hope this will help you

I am having difficulty finding any information on the surname myself. My great grandfather who was from lower Lafourche parish was Joseph Thomassie dob 7-1838, dod 7-9-1857. His parents were Toussaint Thomassie and Maria Cordelionia. According to my father, they may have come either from Italy or Sicily. Hope it helps
