Seeking information on the life and descendants of Hans Jorgen THOMSEN b. 13 Nov 1889 in Manhattan NY, son of Carl Martin Oluf THOMSEN (1859-1916), a druggist, and Bolette DREWES (1859-1918). The parents, both b. in Denmark, were m. 23 Jan 1886 in Manhattan NY; three other children died young.

Hans Jorgen THOMSEN married abt. 1914, prob. in NYC, to Clara [UNKNOWN], who was b. 1892-1896 in NY and appears to have d. 2 Jul 1937 in Manhattan; her father was b. Germany and her mother b. Ireland. They had at least two children: a son, Hans Oluf Harderup THOMSEN b. 6 Jul 1915 in Houston TX; and a dau. Barbara THOMSEN b. 1922-1923 in Manhattan NY.

Hans Jorgen THOMSEN was an insurance executive and spent his early years with the North Britain and Mercantile Insurance Co. of London, first (1914-1920) as their field agent in Houston TX and later (1920-1930) as the secretary of the U.S. office in New York City. Details are lacking after 1930, and the date and place of his death are unknown.
