I just got back from Salt Lake City and found some great information on the Thornock family in the Family History Library. John Thornock was my great, great, great, grandfather. You can find a lot of information on FamilySearch.org. I also found a great microfiche there on the Thornock family history. I have the microfiche number somewhere around here if anyone is interested.

Our Thorn(e) DNA Project is growing. We now have 16 that have tested with 3 confirmed Thorn(e)lines matching. We have 9 that have tested that have not matched other Thorn"e" families. What is your Thorn"e" line ? Could you match one of those that have not matched any line ? Visit our Patriarch page and see if you match any of the lines listed. It involves both of your family histories. This information was taken out of my own personal family history. My great-great grandfather and yours were brothers. Richard, I think I am done moving for a long time now, and I have gotten quite a bit of my family line completed. Now I just need to tie in the extended lines. Would you be willing to share your information from John and Ann down? I would like to be able to put the information into the books I made my grandparents.

My grandfather is George Critchlow Thornock, and I have been doing all of our family genealogy. I will look thru all of my records, and see if I can find your grandfather. If you have any further information, please email me and let me know, and I will see what I can find. I tried to call my grandfather this morning, but he said that he couldn't remember anyone by that name. My grandfather was born and raised in Utah however, and didn't get to see his cousins real often. Please let me know what information you do have, and I will see what I have got.

My Dads name is Edward Earl Thornock and he died when i was 2 so please help if you can....

Hi my name is Lorraine and I believe that Edward E Thornock was my father. All I have is the memorium pamplet,a few of the names listed are Walter Thornock,Terrell Thornock,Gene Thornock,George Thornock,and Ralph Thornock. I met with his mother 1 time at my grandmothers home and was denied all I am looking for is background. Richard, Here's a little background info. My Great-Grandfather was Wilford Myron, (mar. Janie Berthina Critchlow) .....Then to George Henry Thornock,(mar. Louisa Mahala Welker)....My Gandfather is George Critchlow Thornock, and my father is the only son, George Tams Thornock.

My Thornock family came to Utah in approxiametly1856; original settled in the Farmington area and then about 1860 went to Bear Lake area in Idaho.

Who was your great-grandfather, then maybe I can tie it in?
John Thornock and Ann Bott were my great-grandfather and grandmother. John was aborn 15 Mar 1816 in Laxfield,, Suffock County, England. They had nine children, two died as infants in England and the other seven came to Utah with them.

Let me know who your great gandfather is, if you know and I'll see if they tie into my family.
