I am researaching my 3rd Great-Grandfather, William
THORNTON who was born in Westmoreland Co., VA and
lived in Lunenburg Co., VA. He married in 1776 a Sarah
ARVIN there. They moved to Surry Co., NC where
they had 10 children. Some of the surnames that
married into this family via marriage are:
SHELLY,ARVIN,COLVARD,MORELAND,ATHAN,CHILDRESS,
FULCHER/SEAT,SLATER. I am also trying to find
any information on one of his sons named Davis
THORNTON. Hoping for any kin to this family to
